The Director of Marketing is responsible for driving sales by developing and curating the firm’s brand, capitalizing on opportunities to increase the firm’s profile, and engaging prospective clients by delivering a comprehensive external communications program across earned, owned, and paid media channels.

Position Details

This is a mid-level to senior level position. The salary range is from $65,000 – $95,000 annually and is commensurate with experience.   • Define and maintain brand standards to ensure consistency of visual identity and voice across the organization.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategy to increase the profile of the company and drive sales.
  • Build and engage customers and prospects via active management of owned content. channels including website, email, and social media properties.
  • Update and maintain our marketing calendar.
  • Conceive, develop, and update marketing collateral.
  • Team, to include print documents, white papers, case studies, branded objects, print ads and anything else required.
  • Manage and optimize paid media to promote firm.
  • Update and maintain proposal and presentation strategy and materials.
  • Monitor industry and political news and social media for marketing opportunity and brand threats.
  • Represent the company as a thought leader in the political advertising space.
  • Help facilitate the growth of the public profiles of other senior staff in print and online.
  • Coordinate with public relations consultant to help build press mentions for company and senior staff.
  • Manage annual award submissions.
  • Recruit and manage vendors to complete marketing projects, as necessary.

The ideal candidate has

  • Experience in creating and managing the launch of a new brand or series of products for an organization.
  • Extensive experience managing persuasion and direct response marketing campaigns, preferably in political context.
  • Deep understanding and a strong track record of the principles of brand development and management.


  • Bachelor’s degree, or relevant experience.
  • Experience in creating, managing, and launching a brand or series of products for an organization.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting, proofreading, and deploying mass marketing email campaigns.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
  • Experience managing organizational social media accounts, social media advertising, and search engine optimization.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental design principles.
  • Extensive experience managing persuasion and direct response marketing campaigns, preferably in political context.
  • Experience in event planning and coordination.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office software and G Suite.
  • Proficient in graphic design software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and InDesign.

Work hours are consistently 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with the expectation that evening and weekend work will be required as necessary.
