Tharunika Govindasamy is an Operations Intern at DSPolitical. Currently a rising junior at George Washington University, she is pursuing a major in Political Science and International Affairs. Before joining DSPolitical, Tharunika was a Congressional Intern for U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) in his Camden office. In addition, she was a Policy Intern at the Women’s Congressional Policy Institute (WCPI), through which she gained significant experience in conducting legislative research and analyzing bills that impact women and girls within domestic and national policy. On campus, Tharunika serves as the Logistics Chair for GW South Asian Society and represents a Director of Membership for the Leading Women of Tomorrow chapter.
In her free time, she enjoys going on runs, reading, and traveling.
