Ryan Fanning is the Vice President of Media Planning & Programmatic Trading at DSPolitical. He is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he has the dual role of managing the company’s Media Planning & Programmatic Trading team as well as our Bay Area business operations.
Prior to joining DSPolitical, Mr. Fanning was the Digital Director at Washington Media Group, a full-service communications firm, where he ran digital strategy with a focus on paid media for clients including Fortune 40 companies, industry organizations, and non-profits. Before joining WMG, Mr. Fanning helped launch Precision Network, a Democratic voter-targeted online advertising firm. During the 2012 election cycle, Mr. Fanning and his team managed award-winning campaigns for clients, including Obama for America and Elizabeth Warren for Senate. With Precision, he also created large-scale digital branding campaigns for clients including the AFL-CIO. Mr. Fanning has held previous digital strategy roles at Bully Pulpit Interactive and the Democratic National Committee.
Mr. Fanning is a graduate of The George Washington University with a degree in Political Science and minor concentrations in Philosophy and History.
