Ryan Fanning serves as DSPolitical’s Chief of Staff as a member of the C-Suite team where he ensures organizational accountability at the highest levels, monitoring progress towards company OKRs and supervising interdepartmental special projects. In his role as Chief of Staff, Ryan serves as a thought leader on the current state and growth opportunities of DSPolitical, with a firm grasp of company finances, opportunities, and best practices.
Ryan joined the DSPolitical team as a Vice President in 2015 with the dual mandate of professionalizing the company’s media strategy and execution teams as well as spinning up the company’s west coast operations. HIs work with the programmatic trading and media planning teams greatly expanded DSPolitical’s technical and service offerings. In his previous role at the company, Ryan served as chief strategist to DSPolitical’s largest partners, including presidential campaigns, statewide ballot initiatives, senate races, and gubernatorial races. His campaigns have won numerous awards, including “Innovation in Media Buying” and “Best Use of New Technology”.
Prior to joining DSPolitical, Ryan was the Digital Director at Washington Media Group, a full-service communications firm, where he ran digital strategy with a focus on paid media for clients including Fortune 40 companies, industry organizations, and non-profits. Ryan has held previous digital strategy and paid media roles at Precision Network, Bully Pulpit Interactive, and the DNC.
Ryan is a graduate of The George Washington University with a degree in Political Science and minor concentrations in Philosophy and History. In 2018, Campaigns & Elections magazine named him a Rising Star.
