We’re excited to share that DSPolitical won four 2025 Polaris Awards! Our Spanish Language Preference Model earned two wins, while our “Vote Naked” campaign for Turn Bucks Blue, developed and deployed in partnership with Blue Nation Strategies, took home two more.

These awards recognize the innovation, strategy, and impact behind our work to connect with voters in more authentic and effective ways.

Reaching Voters Authentically: The Spanish Language Preference Model

Developed in partnership with INTRVL, our Spanish Language Preference Model (SLPM) earned two awards for Innovative Use of Emerging Technologies in the general and local election campaign categories. Rooted in the belief that cultural and linguistic authenticity drives stronger engagement, SLPM reimagines how campaigns identify and connect with Spanish-speaking communities.

SLPM leverages survey-driven data to identify voters who prefer Spanish, specific Spanish dialects, or bilingual content based on real media consumption habits, allowing campaigns to deliver messaging that reflects voters’ language preferences, cultural values, and community identities. This language model boosted in-language ad delivery by 300% compared to traditional targeting methods and increased video completion rates by 8%. It’s clear that data-informed, culturally fluent targeting drives measurable results and meaningful voter engagement.

Award-Winning Strategy for Turn Bucks Blue

We were honored with two awards for Best Use of Humour in both regional and local election campaign categories for our work on the “Vote Naked” campaign. At the core of this campaign’s success was a data-driven targeting strategy that focused on both who we reached and how we reached them. We targeted 50,000 low-propensity Democrats in Bucks County—particularly younger voters and women—who often sit out off-year elections and feel disconnected from traditional GOTV messaging.

Instead of relying on conventional appeals to “protect democracy,” our strategy acknowledged voter fatigue and reframed mail-in voting as accessible, low-stress, and even fun. Timing and adaptability were just as critical as targeting. The campaign launched six weeks ahead of Pennsylvania’s mail ballot application deadline, ensuring sustained visibility while voters were making decisions. Our media plan was optimized in real time using performance metrics across CTV, social, and display, allowing us to shift spend and media placements where engagement was strongest.

Ultimately, this campaign wasn’t just about visibility—it was about conversion. With 86% of our targeted voters casting ballots—and 58% voting by mail—the “Vote Naked” campaign demonstrated how precision data, strategic timing, and engaging creative can move voters to take action.

Building on Our Award-Winning Impact

These wins demonstrate our commitment to helping campaigns break through the noise with smarter, more inclusive strategies. Whether it’s using humor to boost turnout in Bucks County or the use of our groundbreaking Spanish Language Preference Model, our work continues to evolve alongside the electorate. We’re proud to be recognized by the Polaris Awards—and even prouder to support our clients in running bold, effective campaigns that meet voters where they are.
