Laurel is a recent graduate of American University’s School of International Service, where she earned a B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Spanish.

Originally from Kentucky, she previously interned in the office of Congressman Morgan McGarvey, where she helped to serve constituents in her hometown of Louisville. Her academic and professional work has focused on democratic governance, Latin American studies, AI policy, and human rights.

Laurel is bilingual in English and Spanish and spent a semester studying abroad in Santiago, Chile. She is now joining DSPolitical as a programmatic trading intern for the 2026 election cycle, where she’s excited to bring her policy background to the world of digital advertising.

Outside of work, you can find Laurel practicing her Portuguese on Duolingo, playing tennis with her friends, and planning her next solo trip to South America.
